WELCOME TO MY AICE MEDIA STUDIES BLOG

 Hi guys, I'm Angie and welcome to my AICE MEDIA STUDIES Blog. The importance of media studies to me is to understand or comprehend the creative things that are all around us and the things that we use in our everyday lives. My favorite media product, for example, is my cell phone. Now I knew that phones were cool and were integrated with all these cool apps, but little did I know that it is basically media and technology convergence. The different types of functions and content that, that one little device can give you is mind blowing to me. My media products are television, movies, music, cell phones, and the internet. The platforms being apps like YouTube, Spotify, Netflix, Google, and many others. When accessing these media platforms it's either with my cell phone, tv, or computer. It's important to understand audience engagement with media because it helps the creatures of the world understand what the audience likes and even what they expect or want in a project. It also helps with gathering information and having a common ground with your audience. I find it interesting how everything around us is connected and how these companies and brands are able to collaborate on such wonderful projects. I hope to learn how to make my own project one day and to accomplish the future things we want to do without dealing with Media Studies. I will try to blog everyday using the knowlegde I've learned in media studies. I will be more observent as to all the media products and convergence. These startegies will help me be more conncected to world and all the creativity happening all around me.

They include setting, location, costumes, acting, hair and make-up, and tone. Film producers use these codes to add depth and meaning to media products. These codes can be interpreted differently by the audience based to their social and cultural influences.  The 2017 film Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is a Science Fiction (Sci-Fi) movie. We can determine this with the advanced technology and alien creatures shown in the trailer. The movie is set in space on a planet, like another dimension.
